however i seem to have run out of quests ... there are one or two questgivers in westshallow with locked quests, plus some dailies, but thats about it as far as i can see .. any suggestions?
I like the job the devs have done with worldbuilding a lot, to the extent that ive explored all of the world that doesnt contain mobs much higher in lvl than my toon, so im fairly sure i havent missed any major source of quests appropriate to my level
... looking at the listed quests it seems there are none from about level 34 to lvl 38 or so?
it seemed that there might be some in gnollbark, but cant find any quests there and the local (lvl 32 to 34) gnolls there have apparently gone on a broken glass and nails diet cos they are slaughtering me
.. they seem to have 2000+(?) hitpoints and are hitting me for over 300 damage each attack, which equals 2 shot kills for them and a lot of running back to my corpse for me
..wth is up with that? :)

That way I really keep the XP accumulating without using up all my quests too quickly. I'm level 38 now, I have never run out of quests, and I still have a pretty full quest log.
For me, it never feels like I am grinding.
Mind you, I have played games where, half way to level cap, there are very few quests and mobs give 0.03% XP per kill, so levelling in Alganon feels like a breath of fresh air in comparison.

I think you need to check Nazrun, there are a bunch of quests there for that level range. Check Nazrun, Hazzan Hud, Xon Gar, etc...

Yep, sorry to say from around 43 to 50 you will only have a few quests to do. You will have to grind every level. :(

and yeah youre right there are plenty of about lvl 33/34? quests in nazrun.
i found a good grinding spot in haggon marshes so made my way to 35, and then noticed that nazrun appeared on the list at the westshallow teleporter
... anybody know if it was there all along? or did it appear after i made 35, cos i certainly never noticed it before and as the only destination in teldis it does stand out somewhat.
however nazrun is such a mess, that the difficulty/frustration level is up a lot on any previous area ive been to, so im going to have to gain another level or two just to improve my survivability in nazrun.
seriously, with lots of mobs out of sight under the floors, so there's no way to know if one is aggroing 1 or up to 4 or 5 mobs with any given attack and the visible mobs closely spaced/grouped and on short respawn timers i'm wondeing if qol are trying to force players to group just to get through it all :(.
It doesnt help that the damn allied npcs just look on while a gang of mobs are pounding me into oblivion either :)
anyway back to the grind for now since i can get a higher xp return in haggon marshes than in nazrun even without the quest completion xp.

You are lucky they fixed this - back in my day when I was doing the Nazrun quests, my allies jumped in and helped the mobs pound on me if I got to close to them.

Yeah, i know what you mean, initial enthuisiasm only lasts so long.
In hindsight i would say the availability of quests lvl 34 or so wasnt as much of a problem as i first thought ... there were quests in teldis and creatures nearby to grind on when the frustration of nazrun got too much.
Having reached lvl 38 with some grinding and some quests, i now have more quests then i know what to do with :).
I have taken to doing more grinding to make the quests go further so to speak with a view to making the real hard part a bit less tedious, even tho that will handicap me somewhat as i'll be killing mobs lower in lvl then myself therefore gaining less xp per kill.
Hopefully this approach will keep me going until the giant mega long awaited "release of mysterious content" day arrives :)

This is the approach I have been using and it's been working pretty well for me - I'm now level 41 with lots of quests still (only one bugged).
Generally killing mobs one level below me, level with me or 1-2 levels above.

I wouldn't advise doing that, it's actually fairly depressing.
Around 42-44 you open up around 30 quests but that's as good as it gets and before and after there's a LOT of grinding staring at you, purely because there is no other way at all to level. The quests just don't exist.
From 45-50 I didn't move from the small camp of Excavators just to the side of Aldonar. Levels 49 and 50 mobs. 40-45 I was at one of the camps just above the ruined factory, level 44-46ish mobs. Before that I think I was grinding the little pod people (who are herbable) in Haggon Marsh (far over towards the east.) those guys are levels 39-42 I believe.
Happy Grinding!
