I asked this in a previous post, but it went unanswered so maybe I put it in the wrong place.

Here's my question: How soon, after the dawning is completed, can we expect the new content? Will it be immediate, or will it take a while? Is there a specified date on when the "big" patch will take place?

How much longer must we suffer?

There is no set date for the coming dawn - there are still a few more elements that are dependent on players to complete them.

There are multiple guilds who are very close to completing the Cloak of the Dawn, providing them with the final crystal they need to complete the core quests. When they do, we will schedule a time to place several new world bosses into the game. (The time schedule will be based on when we have the most players online - we want to give as many players as possible a chance to participate in the downing of these bosses. It also gives us time to meet with the winner of the contest portion, and work with them to name some loot items for the upcoming instances.)

Once those bosses are defeated, the following patch will contain the new content. I would expect the patch schedule to follow the same pattern as the current patches and updates.

Keep in mind that when the new dawn comes, the Dawning quests (including the mount quest) and the Dawning vendors will go away forever. Be sure to collect and spend your Tokens of the Dawn while you still can!

Also: We also have some big changes coming very soon. I can't go into any more detail, (and I'll probably get in trouble even mentioning it), but expect some big changes and bigger announcements in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much for your reply. I look forward to the bosses and hope 'the winner' is immediatley available so we can get the new content cranked out. You have convinced me to hang around a little while longer.

IMHO, I believe it's only fair to let the guild who opens up the Dawning get first shot at the bosses. It takes a lot of work and commitment to have completed all of this, and this should be part of the prize.

edited due to redundancy :P

I would be hoping that a vendor with the dawning items hangs around for those people who don't get the chance to spend theirs. I can understand the quests going away as lorewise it wouldn't make sence for them to be here, but the vendor should still be standing in a corner somewhere for a few months after.

Also as a thought I just had while writing this, maybe the dawning could be one of those events the people of Alganon celebrate every year from now, around the time the event finishes. Always hoping the world has it's own holidays to celebrate rather than just copying ours. This could also bring the dawning tokens back, or not, up to you I guess.

I second this motion. Good Idea.

This is important. Many people have gotten their tokens, levelled to 50, and have left temporarily until new content is available. For them to come back and find all their hard-earned tokens become worthless, would not be a good thing.

I would hope that some type of warning message would be sent out to all subscribers. Use it or lose it would be the basic theme.

Just a note = You all know you do not need to be level 45 to spend the tokens on the armor....

I have spent all I care to spend, I quit doing the dailies because there is nothing left I want to buy and they take so long for the cpl k exp.

I can't believe that even the bosses spawns' after the cloak and crystal quests are turned in aren't dynamic and seamless. What is the reward for the guild doing all this work? You put all the emphasis on one person. That is ridiculous... The person turning in the quests is just another guildy who helped collect mats and create items. It took a lot of hours collecting mats, and a lot of people had to direct all their studies to just dawning recipes. We were looking forward to getting the first crack at the bosses. That was our reward and now we don't have that. It was a guild effort. What is the reward for the guild that did all the work and finished it first then? That we get to wait on another patch on a time of your choosing, woohoo...Leave the bosses up for a while so everyone can get a crack at them please. You owe the guild that much.

Yep, Kriegen said it well.

Seems rather odd that any random player can just walk up and attempt to kill the world bosses after so few people put so much effort into The Dawning. Why can't they be dynamically spawned by the guild that did the last step of the quest?

Doesn't bode well for the next event(s), to be honest, if this is the "reward".

Bluntly put the dawning will make or break this game. If QOL plans on letting "everyone participate" why in the hell would any guild want to complete it? where is the reward for gathering all that stuff? one lousy cloak and minor trophy? woo...... no thats lame. if the dawning completion does not dynamically spawn the new content that is also very lame(bordering on completely sucking). where is the the accomplishment. you give the hurray to lucky player that was sneaky enough to con their guild into collecting all the materials? if you haven't figured out how unimpressed people are going to be then let me spell it out. People will NOT be impressed. especially those in the guilds who worked their asses off to "lose" the dawning (and don't get the pithy trophy). by making this event as unrewarding as it sounds you have essentially killed your player base... give yourself a hand for jumping on the failure train.

What good are group instances going to do most of us, when there are so few people playing at any given time?

As Hyuu stated, the Dawning Vendor will be gone once The Dawning is completed. You can plan ahead and purchase items before you can actually use them provided you have the correct amount of tokens. There are no plans at this time to keep him around post dawning for people that have tokens left over.

Consider this your warning to use your Tokens of the Dawn before the dawning vendor is gone.

sigh, I would like to believe this. I don't think that the dawning is even in our hands. the player count of a /who at peak hours is getting worse. Its almost as if we are in a single player game.

Have faith... at least, that's what I'm doing. :) We've got stuff in the works to address all of the larger issues people are seeing, this being one of the big ones.
I'm currently drinking a Pepsi. Doesn't matter when you read this, it's most likely true.

Maybe it's an idea too put this warning on the myalganon page for those checking if new content has been added/or other news which is being posted there. People might not check the forums
