As mentioned elsewhere on the forums, the Aeon server is being shut down and all characters automatically transferred to Matma'el. This is mostly being done due to the low population on that server, though there were other factors involved in the decision. The work on this is being done this evening and we'll keep you posted on the status as we get into it.

This is not a server merger, so all existing character names and guilds on Matma'el will remain as they are. All characters transferred are flagged to be renamed in case of an existing naming conflict, so you're welcome to use your same name; if that name already exists on Matma'el the system will tell you. Unfortunately guilds will not transfer from server to server so guilds from Aeon will be lost. However, all guild bank items/money/etc will be mailed to the guild leader who can then reform the guild on Matma'el. If any guild leaders need help with this, please don't hesitate to contact a GM.

Update: Aeon is down and we've begun the work needed for the transfers. This process will take several hours to complete.

**Please Note: After the transfers, any players that were logged in to Aeon the last time they played will need to take one of the two steps below in order to connect to Matma'el and continue playing. This only needs to be done once in order to force the client to pull up Matma'el instead of Aeon.

Option 1 - (easiest)

• Close the game client
• Navigate to C:\Users\"Windows Username"\Documents\Alganon\Data (Default location for Vista and Windows 7, your location may vary)
• Delete or rename the UserConfig.xml file (renaming is preferred since you can delete the new one and restore this backup if desired).

Option 2 -

• Close the game client
• Navigate to C:\Users\"Windows Username"\Documents\Alganon\Data
• Right click and edit the UserConfig.xml file. Look for the line <CurrentWorld>Aeon</CurrentWorld> and change the word "Aeon" to "Matma'el". Save and exit.

Once you have done either of these steps you will be able to connect to Matma'el and play once the transfers are complete.

Okay, characters are all transferred over to Matma'el. We noticed that some people did not have their shared bank gold transferred over and are working to fix that problem. If anyone sees anything else awry on their end, please send one of the GMs a PM or ticket and we'll work with you on it!
