Ok been trying out this class to take a little break from my magus. Well anyway problem is i seem to be bad at this class or maybe its my build. Figured id come here see if you guys have some advice to help me out. im level 21 and currently in the predation tree. Just seems that by the time i kill something i have no focus left and if 2 attack me im dead

Soul issues are common for beginner rangers, so you're on the right track :-).
You can tackle this in two ways:
1) Invest some time in focus regeneration, soul and int studies (same goes for gear).
2) Upgrade your damage output so that a couple of attacks would leave most foes dead or well on their way to be when they reach you. Slowing them down helps.
