Just made an account, was gonna try this game out, but cant seem to connect. Are servers down?

Yes , the servers are down , i cant seem to login too

May want to read the June Newsletter (appears on this forum) :-).
Servers are down for a while as major changes are introduced.

They are merging the 2 servers so we can all play together and there are HUGE additions being made Be patient and enjoy the game. See you in game!

What?! the update is today? I didnt know! i thought it was end of year 2011 winte time.

The expansion i think is gonna come out later this year as you thought, but this server merge and the free pvp weekend stuff is being patched in. I haven't gotten to do any of the PvP Keeps or anything yet so I'm excited about that. I think I need to find another guild...

Thanks for the replies. How long does it take for a new player to get up there in levels and gears to be able to do something in pvp? I'll also probably dish out around 100$ to the cash shop if I find the game enjoyable

Depends on playtime, Just take time to enjoy the game is my best suggestion.

Pvp all you need to be is level 10, then you will get a battle field promotion while in Pvp area to lvl 50.

To get gears and all that you can either purchase it via item shop or look in the AH, which with all luck will start booming.

In the Tribute Shop (cash shop) there are gear packages for levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 I believe. Each is more expensive than the last. It would be a quick way to get geared. Leveling isn't really hard in this game. Just keep following quests and you will get up there. I'm level 34 and it didn't take me very long back when I did it.
