Due to the low survivability of pvp maybe include a pet that levels 35% of your level rather than specing in the skill tree for one ?

Adding AoE Disease and AoE DoT into a casters build as well as str/endurance debuffs for tanks and blindness for rangers. Our limitations are the armor that tanks can rip thru in seconds. Maybe come up with a way with new spells/ideas to equalize the playing field.

Possibly a longer range aoe nuke/dd for defending keeps/towers and a 1s cast for pbaoes when defending lords or the main guy of the tower/keep.

Another Idea - possibly have a guard ability from the protect skill tree reaver that he can put on the caster so he cant get hurt until the tank is immobilized or dead.

What about a teleport spell for all casters?

Some interesting ideas. I don't see the combat pet mechanic changing in the near future, but it's something we will discuss further. I wanted to comment specifically on the tower defense idea above: with the introduction of keeps, we will be opening avenues to much greater tower attack/defense diversity including siege-style weapons and defenses. This will expand tower play a great deal. :)

Rangers could get a volley and the tanks could sit at a treb and fire it all day =P (sorry tankies)
