whats the speed of the mount? and can all your chars get it or just 1?
I'm unsure on the speed but will look into it. As for the chars, all characters created on an account will get it.
If you do not create an account, how do you claim the promo code?
This purple arvak promo code is only usable for new accounts on sign-up.

Personally, I think this is a good promo for attracting new players to the game, while not cannibalizing potential Tribute Market sales from existing players. It's also extremely generous in that the mount isn't for a specific character, but for all characters on the account. When my son used a Beckett's promo code for Wizard101, he could only apply the promo item to a specific character. That being said - he was able to use it for his existing account, which he greatly appreciated (it's the only reason I bought the magazine, actually - to give him the item).

There you have it. I guess I won't be buying the magazine after all. I don't suppose there will ever be a way to get this on an existing account huh?
Bah Dror, Old buddy you didn't actually think you would get rewarded for sticking around through thick and thin??
Took us a year to figure it out also...
We weren't anything of importance either just a few stragglers hanging around with hopes that people would actually join us and play or maybe some time would be spent on fixing the content that already exist rather then all the time spent on new content and tribute items.
Luring people in isn't hard..its giving them a reason to stay that seems to be the bottle neck.

As to Whyspir's comments, have you never heard of a business that offers deals/incentives to first-time customers? This is no different. We are hard at work to keep bringing good things to our players and reward those that are still with us with new, updated and fixed content. There's nothing wrong with giving attention to those that aren't already players here as well, especially when those rewards don't take anything away from existing players, nor give an advantage in anything but good 'ol vanity. We value all our players, including those that pop up in forums to stir the pot...

Well said old friend. I am actually working on a huge post concerning this exact topic. I feel like this will be my last ditch effort to breath in some new life before I am forced to perhaps look elsewhere.
I still wish this game the best, but it is getting harder and harder everyday to log in and just sit there. Occasionally running a lowby through Balam'karr hoping they will stick around past level 15.

I'm currently downloading the Alganon Setup. Bought the magazine just today because of it's feature on Diablo3, was bored, ran through the magazine again and found the dual page spread advertisement on this, decided to see what it was about.
Sure, technically, it wasn't the promocode that got me to come here, ...I can thank boredom for that. I didn't even know what a ...purple.. erm.. ar-.. one-eyed one horned flying purple people eater... is. >_>"
Figured it was some fancy, yet epically pointless armor or something with no stats, only looks. >_> Procodes are usually ghetto like that.
I'm pretty sure the code isn't a one time use thing. *glanced at magazine* ....Nope, definitely not. So if you can't find it on google somewhere, just ask. It's not like it's going to be the end of the world if people want to make another account to run around on a purple.. ..erm... aardvark? ...and it's not like they're going to get furious and ban my account for giving it out. >_>" I don't even have an account yet, technically. xD

I'll have to agree with Padreic on this one. Two times a week, at least, I get a special promo from Verizon, Cox, Comcast, etc, for awesome pricing for one or two year contracts for new subscribers on phone/TV/Net packages. They are all for "new customers only" and a good bit less than I pay for my current Verizon pack. Sure, I wish Verizon would reward me for 7 years of loyalty, but I know it's not gonna happen. A promo pulled me in 7 years ago.
