Would you mind giving us an idea on how big the world is? Maybe just compare it another games world size? I am hoping the world is huge with tons of things to discover. The bigger the world the better.

It's difficult to post exact satellite map comparisons, but I'm confident in saying that Asheran Forest is larger than any single WoW "zone".

We are going to be releasing with a lot of content, but we want to balance the "large world" feel with not going too far in open boring spaces.

Sandshore alone is a very large place, capable of being its own "mini domain", but we have designed ALGANON to seamlessly transpose multiple Domains, Realms, and Regions, also allowing different environmental settings and ambient music to also set the mood.

Thx for the reply! Sounds like you guys are hitting the world part on the head for a player like myself. A large world with meaningful content does so much for the immersion aspects of a MMO. IMO one of AoC's biggest failures was world size. I felt like I was playing a single player console game at times. With the low server population it must really feel like that now.
It would be cool if you guys could open/close certain areas throughout the year to add to the explorer type players. Example would be a cave that was inaccessible due to snow/ice but as the seasons turned and the snow melted it was open for exploration only to close back up later when the season changed.

I know there has not been a ton of info released on the game but I am hoping you guys add lots of dungeons all the way through. I guess that would also depend on how difficult it is to level. Games are entirely too solo friendly recently. Players don't even bother grouping b/c it's easier to just solo grind. Leveling has become way too easy also. Speaking for myself and I guess most people in my guild, we would much rather take 2-4 weeks gaining 10 lvls if we had 4-5 different dungeons to hit that offered some challenging rooms with regards to pulls/bosses. I know it's a lot of work to do something like that every 10 levels but it would go a long way with players and keep things fresh and interesting.

K, I def went off topic a bit (can't help myself sometimes) but thx for the reply.
