:woot:

As we prepare for the April release we've gone ahead and vanquished the restrictions that used to exist for transferred characters. No longer will you have your gold, items and gear removed! Now those along with your actions, abilities, tradeskills, studies, quests and level will be moved to the destination server.

Let the traveling begin!
I'm currently drinking a Pepsi. Doesn't matter when you read this, it's most likely true.

That is good news. That whole transfer system was giving a bad first impression for those who are new to the game.

Unfortunately, anyone transfered before this announcement yesterday will not have their items/gold transfered over, as those items were gone the moment of transfer. Those transfer restrictions were awful, and it's 100% due to community feedback that they were removed.

That being said, though, if you're a recent pre-announcement transfer, hit up one of we CSGMs in game. We'll see what we can do. :)

no, no, the restrictions were great .. i really enjoyed doing lvl 2 quests w my lvl 15 ranger <g>

Well, ok, admittedly i did 'em in the dead of night so i wouldnt be embarrassed by someone saying "wow, he must be really bad at this if he can only manage lvl 2 quests at his level!"

Actually, redoing all these low level quests with ridiculous ease was kinda weird, although being a much higher level than intended has turned out to be a good thing since u guys supercharged the ranged mobs :)

more seriously, this is a good move padreic :)

cheers, Sam

Imagine my feelings when I transfered my lvl 34 ranger, got him empty handed and in lvl 1 equipment, sent ticket and only after some time it had been announced, that thats how the system works. Left the game shortly after.

That's a big reason why it was changed. Its heart was in the right place, but that's about the only part. The rest was rubbish and needed to go.

We're looking to make some tweaks to the trial system to allow more fun and more ease of use for trial characters after the trial is over, but anything of this nature won't be until after we launch. For now, losing those restrictions was key.
