Last weeks announcement said a patch was due out for this week. Well, its Thursday, and Ive never seen one released on a Friday lol.
Any word on it?

They don't have to deliver the patch on any specific day. I'm sure Tork will be in here to spell it out all legal like soon.

Over 2 gigs! Very very excited!
Two patches actually. One over two gigs, another smaller. Both installed, Hokk shows green. But I keep getting "failed to connect to the server" so I suspect its still down.
If you can't kill it, don't make it mad.

May be about the disconnects I and others were getting last night. I logged each character on, and within 5 minutes they got disconnected from the server. Then it would disconnect when trying to log on, eventually making it so I had no more characters (besides weak alts) that I could log in.
Not terribly unexpected, though, with massive network and code rewrites. I wasn't stressed; in fact, I really, really needed to get to bed, so it was perfect.

About not being able to log in. We are currently working on an issue that makes the login server unresponsive to connections.
Until that is fixed on our side there may be periods where players may have trouble logging on.
So, new network code=good. New connection issue= not-so-good.
Again the gurus are working on getting this resolved so we can all enjoy the patch.
UPDATE (01/29/10 4:52 PM MST): The issue where the Alganon servers were not allowing players to log in has been resolved. All players who were previously able to log in regularly should be able to again without issue.
Until that is fixed on our side there may be periods where players may have trouble logging on.

What you were experiencing was most likely during the time it was being investigated and fixed. See the above update to my previous post.
