Since I hit 32 mining skill, I have mined some 100 copper nodes without a single skill up. Anyone know whats wrong? Do I need to study something or what?

Be sure to visit your mining trainer. He will have recipes for items that you can make with the mining skills that will help you level up.

You can find these recipes by clicking on your mining icon, or you may have to find it in your book. You can drag the icon to a hotbar for easy access.

I just made 150 copper ingots and no skill up..

Were the recipes green? Fastest leveling is to make yellow or orange ones.

People were bugging out at 29 on green recipes and unable to progress, but I thought that had been fixed.

Harvesting alone gets u the first few levels, but thereafter u need to visit the trainer, get new recipes and make stuff in order to advance .. to further complicate matters, most recipes will require materials u cant buy from npc merchants so u need to work with other players who are doing different gathering crafts such as skinning, herbalism, or salvaging.

once u get to lvl 45 u have access to a higher level mineral so u gain some easy levels by just harvesting for a while but then have to get new recipes and grind away ... ditto at 95 etc

i have leveled my guy to over 100 by doing both mining and herbalism but its not particularly easy solo.

Note that if a recipe shows grey in your craft window u wont get xp from it tho sometimes u still have to run those recipes in order to get what u need to run higher level recipes which (if coloured green, yellow or orange) will give xp
