Patch 1.1.5.2119

Known Issues
  • The cooldown timer for consumable items does not immediately display over items within the player's backpack but does display properly on items stored on the action bar.
  • Existing characters will have to manually set the keybinding for taking screenshots. New characters will have it as Print Screen (Prt Scr).
Bug Fixes
  • Brew of Burst now properly lists its ingredients.
  • Fixed an issue that would occasionally stop players from being able to login.
  • Fixed mob pathing issues where mobs would run off into nowhere when led to the end of their chase distance.
  • The casting bar no longer displays when the player attempts to learn a recipe they don't meet the requirements for.
  • Corrected a number of typos in game data.
  • Novice Crafters can now learn to make all of the available bandages featured in the Library.
  • Talrok can now get into the Inn in Phenos to speak with Hostess Jirag.
  • Items that have multiple requirements to use (like some recipes) now show all the requirements properly.
  • Skargwatch Tower's doors have opened wide inviting all adventurers to enter.
  • Debuff icons for MOBs are now properly removed when they are led to the end of their chase distance.
  • The mailbox outside the Founder's Heirlooms shop is now Xanjuix Karr useable.
  • The gates housing Caretaker Ellis' area in Asheran have been opened. Players will no longer become stuck in his court.
  • The gods have spirited the Draft of Hardiness from Alganon (it was never supposed to exist in the first place).
  • Diku now spawns correctly in game and can be interacted with.
  • Meadow Stags have become hardier and are less prone to dying from a single blow.
  • Elemental Ward can now be removed by a player by left-clicking on its buff icon.
  • Carrion Crawler has been made a bit tougher and won't easily fall after a single blow.
  • Mob animations no longer freeze during combat.
  • Emotes no longer freeze during an animation.
  • Players will no longer automatically fail harvesting an item if harvesting from the same node twice in a row.
  • Herbalism nodes now only glow when a player has Herbalism as a tradeskill.
  • Mousing over a skinnable mob after looting it will only show a skinning knife cursor if the player has the Skinning skill.
  • Trial Server - The trial notice will now display correctly at lower resolutions.
  • Trial Server - Trial players can no longer see non-trial servers in the Change Realm window.
  • Players can no longer raise their tradeskills by crafting items grey to them.
  • When a player changes the duration of the item about to be put up for auction the deposit cost now properly updates (to reflect the different costs for the different auction durations).
  • Right clicking a ring will add it to the second ring slot (if empty) before swapping the first.
  • Fixed a few cases where the map's satellite view did not display when a player discovered a new area.
  • Drinking a potion will no longer cause a player to glow permanently. (No more green "holiday cheer"!)
Gameplay Enhancements and Game Balance
  • Bloodraider Pirates now hit for less damage.
  • Players fighting the Culsu near Skargwatch Tower no longer need fear winding up at The Shimmer death stone.
  • Herbs now stack up to 100.
  • The mouse wheel now scrolls certain user interface elements when the mouse is over them.
  • Screenshot functionality is now in game. Screenshots will automatically be saved to the Documents > Alganon > Screenshots folder.
  • Players can select the format they wish to save screenshots in (jpeg, bmp, png or dds) in Interface Options > Camera options.
  • Consumable items now display their cooldown timers when used.
Quests
  • Buried Treasure - The dirt mound for this quest has been made easier to see by adding loot sparkles to it.
  • Shatter the Sunwind - The quest information now correctly states that the player must kill 2 Sunwind Torchers.
  • Triasha and the Marsh Sprog - One of the rewards for this quest is now the Clasp of Primal Fury.
  • Webbed Bundle - This quest starter can be found from Skitter Brush skitter.
  • Glyphblades - These fancy weapons now stack in your inventory and the final Glyphblade is no longer left with the player when they complete the quest.
  • United Front - Peacekeeper Westsun is now much more talkative.

Ranger

  • Heart Toxin now refreshes the effect when reused before its expiration.

And if you are dead--you have 2 choices. You can go find your body (follow the red arrow in the minimap). Or you can click on the whirligig death machine and be resurrected right on the spot.

This is another area--death--that I would like to see a guide for new players as the option to resurrect in place doesn't occur unless you happen to click the whirligig death machine. A new player shouldn't have to guess that the gray means they died or guess that they can resurrect in place, (or guess where the bank is, or where the auction is, or where the college is) etc.

A greyed out world occurs in WoW. And you appear near a ghost/angel npc that will resurrect you. This is common in many games I've played to-date.

Tork, I'm still seeing freezing mobs during battle animation. Just FYI.

But thank you, thank you, and a thousand more thank you's for finally getting rid of that awful green glow (from drinking potions).

Love to see a new patch and all. But, what have you done to crafting? I was attempting to raise my Novice Crafting skill from 125 to 130, I had 56 bolts of wools that I transformed into cashmere bolts and 100 cashmere cloths, all of these items only resulted in a 4 point increase in crafting. I am now stuck at 129 skill because it will not allow me to raise past 129 (all my recipes are green) and there are no other recipes that I can use to advance Novice crafting with. Is Novice crafting currently maxed out at 129? or are there recipes available to me past that skill level?

Please anyone help :)

Nope Novice Crafting goes all the way to 250 unless they broke it in the patch.

The new bandage recipes should be in now according to the patch notes, so they should help.

170-190 was the sticky patch that I remember.

Only other advice I can give is; save all your meat and veggie drops, they come in very handy for leveling later on.

Try checking the Novice Crafting in the Library it will help you figure out the new recipe levels, or tick the "unavailable" box while at the craft trainer to show you what is ahead.

There is a lot of anguish over the loss of grey recipes not giving out experience any longer since there are times, so I hear, that about all you have is grey recipes to select from.

I am okay with gray recipes not giving xp anymore. That is a common occurance in any game. We just caught up to the norm :)

Stealth addition to the patch:

Turn your mount into an old broken hissing spitting malfunctioning lawnmower when mounted. Who in the heck asked "Oh please can I have smoke, sparks and flames when I mount, my mount?"

This is especially annoying when on a harvest run, mount spout smoke and sparks, run to node, dismount due to harvest, mount spout smoke and sparks, run to node... and so on......

Please I do hope this is just a little festivity for New Years and it will be removed next patch.

I do thank you for the work effort put into the patch, although not all the results are as anticipated.

Green recipes give skill. Grey recipes were 1 in 10 giving a skill at best so losing them isn't such a big deal. Although they were nice getting skill ups at 185 from silk bolts in tailoring.

It is no longer possible to get to 190 novice crafting. Even with the new recipes. after 175 the number of silk per skill up escalates. At 178 it took 15. At 179 I've used over 40 and still haven't gotten to 180. This is a green recipe. At 181 it turns grey and will stop giving skill ups even if it were possible to get to 181. The next recipe isn't until 185. There will be no green recipes after 181.

Yes, there's no green recipes in Novice Crafting to go from 180 to 185.

This needs a thread and a ticket all to itself. That's some serious business imo.

I dont mind the fact that grey recipes do not advance skill, in fact they shouldn't. But, the green recipes are not advancing my skill either, I am locked at 129 (green) Novice Crafting, and have used 100 cashmere cloths. After 100 tries at it, I've decided not to bother until it is fixed. And I've already put in a ticket for it.

They either need to introduce recipes in Novice Crafting or fix the green ones that flip to grey on advancement.

Not sure how this will also impact gathering skill ups, but I'm sure to find out :)

Sounds like they fecked the green recipe skill ups at the same time as the fixed the gray recipe ones. Posted Image

Everyone having problems should ticket it, not rely on other folk doing it.

And Saar, you should ask for your cloth back too.

And thanks for fixing the Armoured Moole while you were at it - not!
Ever heard of the wee adage "If it ain't broken, dont feck with it"????
You should have applied that to the Armoured Moole!

Sorry didn't mean to try to hijack the thread, just peeved....

This development team seems to have the capacity to give something out that is supposed to be special that people pay real $$ for, and then take it away in less then a month. Remember the two day headstart, that was taken away without notice? Remember the top hat, and then a week later a speed boost was introduced on the mobs?

I am coming to believe that this development team will swing a nerf bat harder and more often then any we have ever seen before. Bait and switch might be a new company slogan.
