Tasos and David, the public faces of the two truly independent fantasy based subscription online games launched this year. I'll assume you're familiar with Alganon, but if you're not familiar with Darkfall it launched earlier this year and features sandbox gameplay, unrestricted pvp with full loot and guild v guild combat. Both were warmly received on the forums of mmorpg.com a forum that collects the best and the brightest of the mmo minds of today.

But, most importantly, who would win in a fight?

To help you decide, I've prepared a short list of facts about each one:

Tasos cut his teeth on pre-trammel UO dry looting noobs.
David cut his teeth on rogue-likes exploring mazes of twisty little passages, all alike.

Tasos had his fandom stage an all out religious war on a major media outlet.
David has scheduled crusades to coincide with the first expansion.

David designed a game where the gods will walk the lands.
Tasos designed a game where every player believes they are a god.

Tasos used to drive a ferrari to work.
David would like to ride a dragon to work.

Tasos is greek, so presumably a former drug smuggler.
David is from Colorado, so presumably a former rodeo cowboy.

Who would you put your money down on?

I caught your post before the first edit and I do have to agree Tork, some of my facts are a bit limp. What can I say, I pulled a few punches in the spirit of camaraderie. Everyone should feel free to add their own if they are as busy wasting their employers time right now as I am.

Do these two individuals not like each other? Have a grudge against the other?

Would they really go so far as to fight each other?

Are we talking fist fight - knife fight - gun fight ??

I doubt they've met each other, but if they have I'm sure they were on good terms. That's not the point though, though I have no idea what the point is. Did Frazier hate Ali? Did I drink too much coffee? Does the public really need a reason to see blood on the mats? I think not.

Consider it in the same vein of who would win in a fight, batman vs. superman, with all the intellectual maturity that question implies.

As for the type of fight, I was thinking welterweight boxing in vegas, or perhaps we could modernize it and go with UFC rules.

Varied weapons and implements of destruction.

A Vegas venue would be great. Love the dancing nude girls and gambling and booze and buffets.

This post is excellent. Really gave me a laugh. I followed Darkfall for quite some time and was a part of its beta and launch. Unfortunately after the developers released a patch that disabled the towers that attack PvPers, my entire guild held their own in the middle of town against roughly double the numbers. For some reason people said we were cheating and several members were banned. We all left that game and moved on.

On topic again... just on mere physical build I think Tasos has David beat, but who really knows?

I'm loving these types of posts and I think we could use more silly stuff like this to get the community talking. Good job OP
