After the patch, I had to readjust my screen resolution. It was all pinched in on the sides. So I got it so it was like normal again, encompassing the whole screen, but I can not read anything due to such small text size. No matter what resolution I choose, I still can not read anything.

I have a Gforce GTX 260 with all updated drivers. Everything worked fine prior to this patch. Attached is my DXdiag file.

My wifes' graphics where all messed up like that after the recent patch. Only way we were able to get it back to normal was to uninstall and reinstall the whole game.

Yeah I know it's a bitch .. but it worked .. what's 5 hours out of your life in Alganon to make it look right... right ?

Your kidding right? Thats 5 hours I could be doing something else for something that should not have messed up in the first place (Namely looking for bugs since this game is riddled with them).

Hey QOL, I am going through CSTP (Certified Software Test Professional) class right now... You need me to come test things for you? :P

I sure hope this is something they are looking to fix. I really do not want to have to take 5 hours and reinstall this game again.

I too am having this problem of unreadable font. I just installed everything today and created a character before work real quick. I changed it to nonwindowed mode and set my normal 1900x1200 32b resolution. The video got all messed up for a bit, so I restarted the game and it was working ok. It was then that I noticed the text was SUPER small and unreadable. I talked to another person in game and they too had this same problem.

I have a GTX285 video card in mine - I'll prob mess around with it a bit more after work tonight but any information on this issue would be appreciated.

I tried that a few times withlogging and changing resolution and all and still nothing. I thought that it may be my drivers for my card, but it was not that. I have windows 7 but I really do not think that is it since it was working fine prior to this patch.

When I log in, my screen is pinched in at the sides. That is not normal. It seems like there is a glitch or something with switching from desktop resolution to in game resolution. Is that it? I really do not know, but it seems the most logical when looking at it. I would be willing to bet that if we found out why the screen is messed up, that would probably fix the small text issue also.

Are you running the game at a different resolution than you run your monitor at?

Same problem here...I just started and can't even create a character because I can't read the text...I also can't find any kind of in-game option window for changing video, audio, game-play etc...

No,I have not had to change the resolution since the first time after the patch. Though even when I try and play around with it by changing the resolution and loging in and out I still get the same thing. Pinched in at the sides (at the log in screen) and the words are so small in game that I can not read anything.

The screen being pinched in at the sides at the log in was a result from the game resetting my resolution after the patch and not keeping what I had specified. I will keep a eye on it and see if it reverts it back after being logged out for awhile.

Now the text is still small. There is no way for me to change the font size at all in game so I still can not read anything that is written on my screen. I am not sure what this can be. I have looked through most if not all files that I thought might have something to do with it, but I can not come up with anything.

I noticed that you added a new background image to the log in screen. Perhaps something got manipulated or perhaps changed when you added that in. The text on that screen is small also.

Not trying to tell you guys how to do your job, just trying to help narrow it down by providing suggestions. I would not be doing my job as a tester if I did not try and help.

We're currently looking into the issue and hope to have it resolved soon. I know some people have found a workaround to this, and as soon as I find out what that was I'll post it here so you can at least read in game text until we have an official fix for it.

It is resetting my resolution for the login page if I stay logged out for a extended period of time so I end up with the same thing all over again after actually getting my resolution normal. In game will be fine (other than the small text), but the login screen keeps resetting.

Do you think that this might be a problem with Windows 7 and something that you did to the last patch? It was working fine with Windows 7 prior to the patch.

That night I logged in and it was totally fine. I think I just simply needed to reload the game after setting the resolutions. I could tell right away when I could read the login screen.

The issue with the text seems to be fine after the most recent patch, but now it will not save my choice of resolution. If I log out or crash, when I log in I have to keep resetting my resolution.

I noticed that the complaints about font size were over a year ago. I can't read any of the text because it is so tiny, why is this still a problem?

I posted in your other thread here with some ways to adjust the font sizes.
