Greetings!

This is the announcement for the founding of the Scions of Xi! The Guild has been founded by me, Dravokx, in hopes of starting a long trend of great new guilds coming to the realm of Alganon!

The Scions of Xi is a Kujixian only guild that will be making a big slash in the Seventh Age! We plan on covering all aspects of the game including Questing, Raiding, Roleplay, and Pvp!

The website has already been established at the Scions of Xi homepage. Be sure to stop by for more information on this great Guild and how you can be a part of it from the ground level!

Just visited your Guild site and must say how well organized it appears. I especially like the colors, since they are easy on my "old" eyes. On my personal desktop, I have a snowy, night scene from WoW (HelmsBedDale HD widescreen wallpaper) that employs deeper blues and blacks that I find soothing, since a lot of white and lighter colors play havoc with my vision.

I believe the eye drops I use to combat my glaucoma have rendered me more light and contrast sensitive. Therefore, sites like Alganon and your site are a relief to typical ones where I strain to see, having to enlarge text to compensate for the abundant white backgrounds they tend to use.

Thank you for the complement!

I have put a great deal of thought and work into the site so far, everything from layout to functionality to content. I am glad the site is easy on the eyes! Photoshop is something I try to learn and do well with but it is difficult to master. As far as the website construction goes, I'm much better with CSS than I am HTML, but I am learning. The great part about webdesign is there is always someone much better than you who can give you pointers. Some people are very innovative with what you can do... pushing the abilities of the browser to the max! I also enjoy the digital outlet for my artistic desires. I'm always stuck using pencil and ink these days it seems.

So far everything with the Scions of Xi is going really well! Rewind here from the forums as decided to join (some very interesting posts so far as well!). I am looking forward to more applications soon!

Your site looks very professional, and it looks like you put a lot of time and thought into this guild even before you began to advertise it. I might be interested in joining, as I hope to play as Kujix myself. Which class? I'm thinking about the warden, but it might be released later. I might go with a magus or something, but it'll depend on the way each looks. Anyway, I hope this guild sets a trend for those to come.

Thanks Diageous! I would absolutely enjoy having you in the Scions of Xi, if you wanted to join. I have indeed put a lot of work into the site. I'm still enjoying my last 3 weeks of summer before college starts again so I put about 30 hours of work into the site over 3 days to get the basic functionality so I could start recruitment. Unlike the other omni-game guilds (Old Timers and House Lok-ri) the Scions of Xi is something totally fresh and new with full focus on Alganon. I have to start from scratch! Everything is looking good but it still has a long way to go! Some of the smaller content like the Monthly Spotlight are all html based and I still fight with that sometimes. Why can it be easy CSS? :yucky:

I really do plan on making the Scions into a well known name, at least on our server, but hopefully in the game as a whole. I have guild leader experience in my past, and I'm fully aware of the level of commitment it takes to run a great guild: I'm all for it! If you're interested please do feel free to read over the Guild Information and post an application! It's a great chance to get in on the ground level of something great!

Oh, did I mention we got a link on the fansite page now!

Very well. I'd like to join. I know I'm supposed to familiarize myself and all, and then I have to submit an application. Care to explain this a little more in-depth, or could we just skip this all-together?

I have experience leading clans, which are basically guilds. It changes from game to game, I guess. Anyway, I will do my best to help out and keep the guild active.

Congratulations on getting on the fan page!

Very nice guild site!

I also like the name of your guild but I'm probably biased because I was running a pre-release Mortal Online guild that's now disbanded called Scions. I designed the flash site but I never got around to finishing it.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks Drakus!

With the heavy influence on the letter X for the Kujix, Xi (in my mind) means knowing, or all powerful. Somewhere it referred to in another word with a meaning, but I can't for the life of me find it right now. I will look it up and edit this.

That flash site looks great! That is something I haven’t messed with at all. My site is hosted by Guildlaunch, which has it's pro's and cons. The big benefit is that I got a fully functional site up in three days and can focus on the more important part of running the guild. The down side is that I am somewhat forced to content box constraints. Now that I have something set up and working, it will be easy to start fresh, I might even do something totally from scratch! I really struggled with finding a lot of good visual content from Alganon. There isn't a very big selection so I just did the best I could. My photoshop skills are far superior to my coding skills. Right now I have something that looks good and works, so I will just finish out some of my HTML projects and then look into something fun. Well done on your site, I'm sorry things didn't end up working out!
